There are many gifts of the Holy Spirit that come with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Scripturally, however, speaking in tongues was the initial gift to manifest. Many argue that an individual doesn't have to speak in tongues to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. But it's not a matter of whether we have to speak in tongues or not -- we get to speak in tongues. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, like a pair of tennis shoes, always comes with tongues.
